CSUF's Pollak Library with flowers. Text reads "University Sustainability, ASI Environmental Sustainability Commission, and Campus Partners Present Earth Month April 2026"

Cal State Fullerton celebrates Earth Month with a series of events in April. Throughout the month, University Sustainability and campus partners will host a variety of activities that raise environmental awareness to drive positive action for our planet.

The first Earth Day in 1970 spurred the modern environmental movement, when a U.S. senator organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. Its success led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of important environmental protection legislation including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. Earth Day has grown into an annual event observed by a billion people worldwide and continues to transform public awareness focused on creativity, innovation, and ambition.
