Recycle and Shred

Bigbelly Solar Trash Compactors

Recycling Bins

Stop before you drop! Look for signs on campus waste bins that explain which items you can recycle, and which should be sent to the landfill. In most cases, you can recycle clean and dry glass containers, cans and plastics stamped with #1 or #2.

Watch for seven new dual-bin Bigbelly solar waste compactors recently installed on campus. These units help promote recycling AND cut down on waste collections by up to 80% versus typical bins, helping us reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Help us become a zero-waste campus!

For general recycling questions, call (657) 278-7492 or email recycle@fullerton.edu.

PUBLIC SURPLUS

Joining cities, schools and universities across the country, Cal State Fullerton sells unwanted surplus items via a Public Surplus online auction. This keeps perfectly usable goods out of local landfills while reinvesting proceeds in our campus. All Cal State Fullerton staff, faculty, students and the public are welcome to participate.

Confidential Documents

Special locked bins have been placed in offices across campus to collect confidential documents, which are sent to a secure destruction facility for shredding and recycling. To request a bin or to schedule pickup, call our Facilities Service Center at (657) 278-3494 or email servicecenter@fullerton.edu.
