From lab chemicals to art supplies, Hazardous Materials and Universal Waste are regulated items that may not be placed in standard campus recycling or landfill bins.   • Paint, paint thinners and spray cans
  • Chemical solvents (gas, antifreeze)
  • Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
  • Lubricants, motor oil, oil-contaminated material
  • Biomedical, biohazardous, sharps and laboratory waste
  • Medicines and controlled substances
  • Pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides
  • Asbestos
  • Radioactive material
  • Used respirator cartridges
  • Contaminated soil
  • Any product labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, reactive or flammable

Please note that no hazardous waste brought from home will be accepted.
